Former attacking partners at Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé decided to interrupt their connection on Instagram, intensifying rumors about a possible rivalry between them.

During last season, there was frequent speculation in the French media that Mbappé was not interested in sharing the spotlight with the Brazilian player at PSG. These rumors culminated in Messi and Neymar leaving the club, although the alleged tensions between the two were never officially confirmed.
While he was leaving PSG, Neymar “liked” an Instagram post that criticized the French striker’s behavior. The post on the social media platform contained an alleged quote from an article in the French newspaper “L’Équipe”, which stated: “Last summer, Kylian Mbappé made it clear to PSG that there was no longer room for him and Neymar in the same squad. Interestingly, on the day that Neymar was practically announced by Al-Hilal, Mbappé returned to training extremely happy”, as mentioned in the post.
The Instagram post was “liked” by Neymar’s own account. In August of this year, Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain to join Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, while Mbappé remained with the French team for the 2023/2024 season, despite rumours of a possible termination.
