The recent victory of Tadej Pogocar in Paris-Nice, generated more breath and impetus for the cyclist to participate in the Milan-San Remo competition that takes place this Saturday, March 18, in Italy. Recently, in an interview for the newspaper “Il Messaggero”, the Slovenian told a little more about how he feels about his last achievement and his perspectives for the next matches.
“Unfortunately, they didn’t broadcast Milan-San Remo in Slovenia when I was a kid, so I don’t have many memories. But now I can say that I know it well. It’s a race I really like, although I think it’s probably the hardest race to win,” said the cyclist.
The athlete also commented on his main objective this year: recovering the podium and first place in the Tour de France. In addition, he explained that he has a desire to participate in Paris-Roubaix. “I would like to experience Paris-Roubaix someday. And obviously the World Championships are very prestigious, so they are certainly targets for the future, even if winning them can be very difficult,” he concluded.
